The project

The Animais de Rua 2025 Charity Agenda is an annual planner created for Animais de Rua, a prominent Portuguese animal welfare NGO.

Celebrating the organization's 15th anniversary and its milestone of helping over 50 000 animals, this special edition pays tribute to the dedicated volunteers who make its work possible.

Editorial Design and Layout

The challenge was to create a functional, compact and easy-to-carry agenda while accommodating a considerable amount of editorial and visual content.

I designed a consistent layout system with dedicated monthly sections, each opening with a clear typographic composition, an action photograph featuring the volunteer teams, and a personal testimonial from a volunteer.

For the cover, I led an extensive creative exploration, developing and testing several original illustrated concepts combining animals and people in a warm, expressive visual style. Although these concepts explored the creative potential of the organization's visual identity, the final edition featured a documentary photograph, selected by the organization to establish a more immediate and authentic connection with the volunteers and their work.

My responsibilities included developing and refining the cover concepts, designing the interior pages, managing pagination and preparing the final artwork for print.

Throughout the process, careful attention to typography, grid structure and visual hierarchy ensured a balance between practical functionality and emotional storytelling.
